The Dragon Heart has been recovered. You'd think all is well, now, but things couldn't be worse. The Heart was to be delivered to Thayla, so she may prevent the world's annihilation by otherworldly demons. But Aztechnology has made a deal with the demons for power, and Thayla is lost. Possibly killed. And with it dies humanity's hope for survival.
Or maybe not. The spirit Lethe may be of help. But he is trapped inside Burnout, who was shut down and taken back to Aztlan. No, things aren't going well at all.
There's a lot of stuff going on in this book, from some perspectives we'd rather not experience. Which makes them all the more intereting. And the ending has a few factets that are as startling as they are intriguing, with promises of things to come further in the Shadowrun setting.
