Thanks to the humans, the Weave has begun to win their millenium-long struggle against the Amplitur and their allies. But everyone in the Weave has secrets. We know about the humans', their Core, created by the Amplitur and now fighting against them. But other races have their own secrets in this war, and they all get told here.

Lalelelang, a Wais scholar on humanity, uncovers them, one by one, almost against her will. She can't help it, as one leads to another to another. Not all the secrets are pleasant, and she must decide what to do with all the information she is gathering. Worse, the tides of war might have been turned so greatly by the humans' efforts that it might actually end! What will happen then? Can the Weave survive without an enemy forcing them together?

I really wish there was a fourth book, as the answers to some of these questions are only implied. Seeing it spelt out might ruin things, but I don't think it would. But even without another sequel, this is a good end to a fun, pro-human series.
