My first attempt at a fursuit was Brooklyn the Gargoyle, from Disney's Gargoyles TV show. (All character rights, copyrights, trademarks, and whatnot are still owned by Disney, so please don't shoot me!) If you're not familiar with the character, his picture is at the top of the page. As you can see, this would be a difficult costume to create. Never let it be said I set my sights low. (At least in this regard!)

As it turned out, this was too difficult a costume, at least for a beginner like myself. It took me well over a year - nearly two years, in fact - and I found I'd still only made the head. This and a few other considerations made me decide to move on.

Still, I can show you how I did make that head...
